Therese DeLucia called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
MINUTES: Debbie Hawk made a motion to waive the reading of the July 25, 2011 minutes. Mike Gabriel seconded. Motion passed. Kim Marks made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Kim Douglas seconded. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Michael Hastings: Josh Spilker made a motion to accept the financial report as written. Liz Rebadow seconded. Motion passed. Michael reported that he has recorded the payments for band camp, but has not received the invoice to pay yet.
CORRESPONDENCE: Donation from Robert and Martha Bachmann.
DIRECTOR'S REPORTS:
Mrs. Rach thanked everyone for a very successful band camp. She said the performance on Friday was outstanding. The Cuyahoga Band show is on Tuesday the 16th. A small pep band will perform at the Queen of Heaven Fun Fest on Thursday the 18th. The band will also play at GLS convocation on Monday the 23rd.
Mr. Reimer echoed Mrs. Rach’s thanks for a great band camp.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Band Camp- Pat Marks and Pam Varga: Pat thanked all the chaperones. The bill is still coming. Leftover food will be used at tag day and tailgate parties.
Band Show: Band show is Saturday, September 10, 2011. There are 8 bands committed to perform.
Band Banquet: No report
Calendar/Tag Day – Robin Spilker: Tag day is Saturday, August 27, 2011. Signup sheets are in the band room for teams of 4 students and 1 adult driver.
Chaperones-Tammy Trowbridge and Debbie Hawk: Chaperones will be contacted for the 1st game. They are all set for Tuesday’s band show.
Concessions- Kim Hastings and Opal Johnson: The Green Fire Department inspected the stand and found us in violation due to having no hood over the range. We are working on a solution to the situation.
Craft Show- Kim Marks and Liz Rebadow: 113 spaces have been rented.
Fundraising:
· Cookie Dough: Need a new Chair
· Entertainment Books: Need a new Chair
· Fruit Sales- Karen Campbell: No report
· Dining for Dollars: Need a new Chair
· Scrip- Lisa Stephens: Scrip order will go in on August 29th.
Scholarship: No report.
Social Committee- Chris Keppler and Alicia Austin: Tailgate party is August 26th.
Tee Shirts/Hoodies- Elaine Mellinger: Elaine reported that a $2000.00 order went in for this year’s shirt design. Another order will be placed in the future.
Uniforms- Kim Douglas and Mary Gabriel: All students remembered their polo shirts for the parents show!
Volunteers- Liz Rebadow: Lists have been updated for 2011-2012. They are available for committee chairs to use.

OLD BUSINESS:
· None
NEW BUSINESS:
· The golf cart required total battery replacement the week prior to camp. The executive board made an emergency approval of the expense to cover the cost.
· Shannon Bales introduced the idea of a band lock- in sometime in Jan or Feb. Commitment is needed now from parents before the school will consider the request. A number of parents at the meeting said they were willing to chaperone.
Next meeting date will be September 12, 2011 at 7:00 PM
A motion was made by Jessica Chapman and seconded by Mike Gabriel to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed and the meeting was adjourned at 7:50PM.
